Age 6 -- Shetland 6 Division focuses on instruction of beginning players. NO tryouts for the Shetland division. All players are placed on a team based on request (not always possible), neighborhood or school. Objectives include teaching players how to properly swing a bat, catch, throw and run the bases; and encouraging all players to experience different positions throughout the season. NO standings are kept in the Shetland Divison. In the Spring season the last six games of the regular season score will be kept. A single elimination tournament will conclude the Shetland season. All players receive a particiation trophy unless the team finishes 1st or 2nd in the end of season tournatment. Those two team are awarded Champion and Finalist trophies.
